Augusto Giacometti. Freedom | Mission
This comprehensive presentation focuses on a multifaceted artistic personality whose work is one of the highlights of art in the first half of the 20th century. The exhibition, realised in co-curation with the Swiss Institute for Art Research, explores the relationship between free creation and commissioned art along the axes of "freedom" and "commission" and reveals the field of tension in which Augusto Giacometti (1877-1947) moved productively throughout his life as an artist and cultural politician.
