Bal Folk Dietikon: Dancing to live music
With or without a workshop
Bal Folk is all about collective exuberance and pure, dancing joy of life. It is taking dance floors across Europe by storm and infusing traditional folk dances – whether in circles, in pairs or in lines – with a contemporary groove. The two bands have been moving and delighting audiences for over ten years with their own compositions and newly arranged traditional pieces.

from 19.00 Bal Folk with the bands “Temps Libres” and “Lôbálü”
“Temps Libres” is a duo that plays traditional folk-style dance music. Rozemarijn Dumon and Martin Pion, two musicians and dancers from Belgium, offer an intimate and
rhythmic dance music featuring numerous original compositions and songs, inspired at times by the
Swedish, Flemish or French repertoire.
Rozemarijn Dumon: violin, accordion, flute, vocals.
Martin Pion: diatonic accordion, guitar, vocals....

The duo “Lôbálü” creates a unique soundscape in which their own compositions blend with newly
interpreted instrumental folk melodies. Their music naturally
elements of klezmer, gypsy music and jazz, as well as a dimension that can only be defined
through experience – a musical language that is as intuitive as it is poetic.
Zé Oliveira: accordion
Milena Meyer: clarinet and bass clarinet
