Balkan Jam with Martin Schumacher
Clarinettist Martin Schumacher is continuing to lead the popular Balkan Jam at Galotti.
Clarinettist Martin Schumacher continues to lead the popular Balkan Jam at Galotti, taking us on a musical journey through south-eastern Europe. Together, we’ll explore well-known and lesser-known melodies from the vast repertoire of the Balkan Peninsula. Along the way, we’ll encounter not only scales with an oriental flavour but also the typical ‘irregular’ time signatures.
The Galotti Jams are open to everyone. However, anyone wishing to take part in a jam should have a basic knowledge of music, a certain degree of flexibility on their instrument, and be able to contribute to the ensemble independently. The jam will take place provided there are at least 6 participants. Information on the sessions and repertoire, as well as booking places, is available directly at Galotti Musikwerkstatt
