Barbara
Some voices stay with you for a lifetime.
Caroline Ferrara encountered them at an early age: Edith Piaf’s raw intensity, Charles Aznavour’s storytelling, Boris Vian’s black humour. And then – a little later – Barbara. A voice as soft as a whisper. And yet unforgettable. Now Caroline is coming to us at Keller62 with her BARBARA programme.
Barbara’s songs do not overwhelm. They draw you in. They are like intimate conversations, like memories you carry with you for a long time. With very little – just her voice, a piano and time – Barbara created whole worlds of longing, melancholy and quiet defiance. Caroline Ferrara enters this world not to imitate Barbara, but to listen to her. To trace what lies between the notes. What remains once the final note has faded away.
A warm, intimate evening. Quiet. Intimate. And very beautiful.
