Book launch: Susanna Desax – Solveig’s Journey

Solveig’s Journey. A novel about the possibility of writing one’s own life script and breaking free from entrenched roles.

Following a chance encounter, a woman in her mid-thirties realises just how far her life has strayed from what she once hoped for. Her carefully maintained sense of balance begins to waver, and long-forgotten dreams are reawakened. She pushes all her reservations aside and dares to set out on a new path. But she soon realises that genuine change is only possible if her openness extends inwards too, if she confronts her own convictions and allows herself to face the memory of painful experiences.

Susanna Desax. With roots in the Grisons, shaped by Zurich, and Bern as her adopted home. Studied German language and literature and philosophy. Throughout her professional life – from secondary school teacher and freelance speaker to editor and author – she has been fascinated by the question of how free we are to shape ourselves and our own stories.
