Christmas Concerts
Traditional Christmas Concerts of the Zürcher Sängerknaben with Camerata Zürich
This year’s Christmas concerts by the Zürcher Sängerknaben perform works by Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The programme opens with familiar and much-loved Christmas carols, followed by Mozart’s Regina Coeli K. 276, which sets a radiant first highlight.
The musical highlight of the evening is Haydn’s magnificent Theresienmesse, with its heartfelt expressiveness and rich, powerful sound.
Together with Camerata Zürich, boy soloists from the Zürcher Sängerknaben, tenor Luis Magallanes and baritone Simon Schnorr, the choir presents a festive evening of great sacred music and Christmas reflection.
