Christof Spörk, *Maximo Lieder*

With his Austro-Cuban music, wit and charm, Christof Spörk once again takes to the stage at the Teatro Ticino to sing his way through the often far from amusing state of the world. Now with a new programme!

Navigating the terrain between world politics and the local pub, democracy, delusions of grandeur and the madness of everyday life, Christof Spörk seeks to strike the right note – and finds it. With sharp wit, musical virtuosity and his unmistakable humour, he tells of a time in which many are calling for strong leaders. Spörk’s response: powerful songs.
A political scientist with a PhD and a multi-award-winning musical cabaret artist, he combines intelligent satire with masterful performance. His songs hit the mark – sometimes biting, sometimes melancholic, always surprising.

‘Maximo Lieder’ is an evening full of wordplay, music and subtle observations – political without being preachy, entertaining without being frivolous. Musical cabaret that captures the spirit of the times and, above all, brings joy.
