The Archaeological Collection of the University of Zurich is an extensive and internationally important collection of original ancient works of art and craft from the Mediterranean region and the Middle East. Switzerland's oldest archaeological museum (1854) also provides a comprehensive overview of Greco-Roman sculpture with its historical casts of ancient statues. Special exhibitions offer additional insights into the latest research in archaeology.
