Ricardo Eizirik On the Instability of Current Events for trombone and violoncello (2013)
A programme of very different pieces by composers from Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Brazil; a programme that in its entirety tells a story about the social, emotional and political conditions of Latin America, about the darker side, the fragility or - as Ricardo Eizirik puts it - the instability of current events. With concrete reference to political and social themes, as in the works of Hilda Paredes, or in a more associative way, a multi-faceted journey through the music of a continent full of tension is created.
