Cyrano, the virtuoso swordsman with the big nose, is also an accomplished poet. His words strike as surely as his sword. Yet when it comes to love, the swashbuckler loses his confidence. Because of his large nose, he believes he is unlovable and therefore does not dare to confess his love to Roxanne. Instead, he writes her love letters on behalf of the handsome Christian, who is also in love with Roxanne. Zapzarap performs the tragicomic classic “Cyrano de Bergerac” – originally featuring some 40 roles – in their own adaptation, with just four actors but plenty of music. zapzarap: Amelie Lisa, Marion Mühlebach, Jan Hubacher and Giuseppe Spina; directed by Markus Keller.
