She was Mendelssohn’s muse, a contemporary of Chopin, and was mentioned in the same breath as Clara Schumann and Franz Liszt: Els Bieseman’s virtuoso fortepiano recital on the 1860 Erard grand piano is dedicated to the forgotten composer Delphine von Schauroth – with a pre-concert talk at 6.30 pm and a drinks reception afterwards
