The Musikkirche Neumünster offers concerts with a wide range of styles. From classical to modern to family concerts, the focus is on classical concerts and the Alte Tonhalle organ.
Dialogues
Orgelpfeif & Dudeljodelboing – boundless soundscapes blending organ, Trümpi, bagpipes and the human voice
A breath of fresh air from Arcadia! Otherworldly sounds straddling the line between art music and folk music, from the Baroque era to the present day
Renaissance dances, artful Baroque compositions, virtuoso concertos and entertaining pieces from the Classical period – performed in their original form, but also serving as inspiration for improvisations, both as solo pieces and in duets – can be heard in this concert.
Alongside Purcell, Corrette, Schmelzer and Mozart, one of the jaw harp concertos by Johann Georg Albrechtsberger and pieces from the dance manuscript of the virtually unknown Anna Maria Leyersederin form a central focus.
Dialogue shapes the overall concept, at times alternating with original repertoire, at others with improvisation.
In doing so, Ines Schüttengruber and Albin Paulus explore, with great passion and musical wit, new avenues for a lively, contemporary and yet historically informed interpretation, free from dogma and with plenty of scope for new ideas and sounds.
