DKSJ All Stars
feat. Olivia Trummer
The jazz departments of the five Swiss conservatoires come together under the DKSJ label. Every year, various joint projects are carried out – one of these is the DKSJ All Stars Project. For the 2026 edition, the conservatoires have invited the renowned pianist and singer Olivia Trummer. To mark the 20th anniversary of her recording career, she will rearrange some of her most original, catchy, intimate and challenging compositions under the theme ‘SONGBOOK’. Two students from each conservatoire will be selected to form a temporary orchestra, which will rehearse under her direction for two intensive days before setting off on a tour comprising five concerts in Lucerne, Zurich, Lausanne, Bern and Basel.
With her ‘SONGBOOK’ programme, Olivia Trummer opens up her body of work to date to new interpretations, perspectives and collaborations. Following concerts with various ensembles in Germany, Denmark and Italy, she can now be seen performing her ‘SONGBOOK’ in Switzerland for the first time with the DKSJ All Star Project. The ensemble’s rich instrumental and vocal palette allows her music to blossom in a whole new way. Timeless music that gets under your skin.
Olivia Trummer has previously shared the stage with Eric Clapton, Bobby McFerrin, the SWR Big Band and Kurt Rosenwinkel, with whom she toured extensively worldwide as a member of his ‘Caipi’ band. She has performed in more than 20 countries, including at such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall, Ronnie Scott’s, Birdland Jazz Club in New York, Teatro La Fenice, Blue Note in Tokyo and Beijing, and at festivals such as the London Jazz Festival, Umbria Jazz, the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Bonn Jazz Festival, the Vancouver International Jazz Festival and many more.
