Invitation to the opening
Many people are familiar with chickens mainly as fried eggs or chicken nuggets. However, knowledge about one of our most important farm animals is often limited. This temporary exhibition looks beyond the plate. It showcases the animals’ way of life, their needs, their breeding successes and their ancestry. It also highlights the growing importance of the chicken as a source of food.
Following a welcome address by Daniela Zingg, Director of the Winterthur Natural History Museum, Hannes Geisser, Director of the Thurgau Natural History Museum, will provide an insight into the exhibition.
Sabrina Schnurrenberger, Curator of Biology, will then lead a guided tour of the exhibition.
We would be delighted to invite you to a drinks reception.
