The Ensemble Tzara’s ‘Portrait Concert’ showcases Jannik Giger’s exploration of historical sound fragments, rehearsal recordings and the quest for the perfect performance. The all-wind instrumentation makes his themes – breath, microtonality, alienated sound materials and musical communication – immediately audible.
