Erotic

There are love scenes. There are sex scenes. There is pornography. There are erotic scenes. Some are unambiguous and explicit. Others remain suggestive. Either way, bodies become the centre of a scene, become the subject. The author takes the reader into the intimacy of the characters; spoken language fades away more and more; bodies speak; some understand one another, others talk past one another and will therefore hardly see each other again – or perhaps they will, precisely because of that. The first time, the hundredth time, the last time. Longings, the smell of sweat, cold feet, flecks in the pupil, a birthmark, the warmth of breath. A point of no return: how much do you want to know about what is going on there?
