Family Mann-Zimmer

The exhibition, which opened in June 2000 to mark the 125th birthday of Thomas Mann (1875-1955), visualises the forty years that the Mann family spent at Alte Landstrasse 39 in Kilchberg. From the time the poet took up residence in 1954 to the death of his son Golo in 1994, the most important stages are traced. Photographs and original portraits, selected documents and some memorabilia provide an insight into the life and work of this extraordinary family.
