Guided tour "Velospass"
Discover the diversity of the Limmat Valley by bike!
Our focus is on projects in the field of open space. We start at Killwangen-Spreitenbach railway station. We then allow ourselves to be completely absorbed by the landscape and discover the diversity of agricultural production in the agricultural park.
On the right bank of the Limmat, we reach Fahr Abbey via Ober- and Unterengstringen. From there, the route continues through villages with charming centres and vineyards. Here we tackle the "mountain prize" at the Winzerhaus - once at the top, we enjoy the magnificent view.
We cycle past weirs, historic spinning mills and the old gasworks of the city of Zurich. The new "Park am Wasser" is particularly worth seeing. It shows what a lively meeting place for the neighbourhood population can look like.
The trip ends at Zurich's Turbinenplatz - a place where the power of the Limmat was an early driver of the region's industrial development.
