Let’s get together to read, read aloud and enjoy

One festival, two local libraries, two reading promoters, a Swiss publisher of hidden-object books...

This afternoon, the Thalwil and Rüschlikon municipal libraries are joining forces to celebrate hidden-object books and will be showcasing their respective collections at the Pfistertreff.

At the Vatter & Vatter Verlag’s free hidden-object book stand, visitors of all ages can come and go as they please. It invites anyone interested to help create a large hidden object picture together and to bring their own perspective to the image.

Especially for ‘Thalwil liest vor’, a mobile library from Bain de Livres in the canton of Valais is once again visiting us. It is packed with over 1,000 children’s and young adult books in German, French, Italian and 82 other languages. With deckchairs and beanbags, it serves as a meeting place that invites visitors to read, discover and linger.

Story Time

‘Hidden Object Book/Hidden Object Time’

4.00 pm to 4.30 pm:

with two SIKJM reading facilitators for parents with children aged 3 to 5

In keeping with the ‘Wimmelbuch’ theme, Story Time will, for once, take place not in the library but at the Pfistertreff. Kathrin Baier and Ursina Hollenweger, SIKJM reading facilitators, will immerse themselves with the children in Sebastian Ilabaca’s ‘Fantastic Forest’, discovering, searching for and finding lots of exciting things.

The huge accordion book is 3 metres long and has many flaps with all sorts of surprises.

Festival café open until 6 pm

Pia Schlechtriemen from the ‘Thalwil liest vor’ association will be treating guests of all ages at the Pfistertreff to culinary delights, coffee and cake, tasty snacks and refreshing drinks.

For children, young people, teachers and families
