The Garage Wetzikon is showing the youth film "Sieger sein". Eleven-year-old Mona (Dileyla Agirman) has fled Syria with her Kurdish family and attends a school in Berlin's Wedding district. Mona can't speak a word of German, but she can play football. Her teacher, Mr Chepovich, or Mr Che for short, recognises her exceptional talent and accepts her into the girls' team. Mona is a real fighter, but soon realises that she can only win if she and the other girls play together. Just like football, everything is at stake in this 90-minute film! A moving film about courage, community and the fight for victory - not just on the pitch.
Followed by community watching (free)
