Yuck

A family play by Cie Mokett and Théâtre Am Stram Gram | 9+

Humour | Dialogue | Informative

Sexuality – a topic that makes children today more curious, more open and sometimes more embarrassed than ever before. What begins as a perfectly normal sex education lesson quickly spirals out of control: The speakers carry their own bad memories with them; their trainee teacher simply didn’t listen back then – and somewhere in the audience sits a mysterious figure who is clearly uncomfortable with the subject. They are all united by a mission: to ensure that the next generation isn’t left just as clueless as they themselves were.

From stilt-walking storks and pink ukuleles to retold fairy tales, a documentary-style fiction full of wit and warmth unfolds – an honest, cheerful and liberated dialogue about sexuality, sex education and love.

A production by Cie Mokett in collaboration with the Théâtre Am Stram Gram in Geneva, aimed at a young audience eager to learn more.

Running alongside the performance is the ‘Junge Foyer’ programme for children aged 4 to 8. Whilst the older children attend the performance, the younger ones can take part in the interactive programme in the ‘Junge Foyer’. On 21 March, there will be a dance and music workshop with the artists Marie Jeger and Rosanna Zünd.
