The Zürcher Sing-Akademie takes the audience into romantic and modern worlds of sound in its a cappella evening. In the programme "...into the heart", conductor Florian Helgath unfolds a lively interplay of words, music and emotion with works by Johannes Brahms, Alma Mahler, Frank Martin and contemporary Swiss composers Beat Vögele and Cyrill Schürch. The vocal capabilities of the professional ensemble from Zurich are shown to their full advantage; tenderness and transparency, but also drama and rich sounds provide unforgettable goosebump moments in this concert.
