Jazz Matinee with ARRIBA
Three musicians from Aargau, who usually perform in renowned Swiss bands, have come together again as a trio: Arriba brings together piano, bass and drums – compact, direct, and having grown through their collaboration.
At the heart of their repertoire lies the Great American Songbook – the timeless jazz standards that the trio re-explores with palpable enthusiasm and a keen sense of improvisation. Alongside this, the trio venture into pop and rock classics, giving them a completely new twist and thus creating unexpected connections.
No two concerts are alike: the three musicians trust in the moment, engage with one another and improvise with creative courage – resulting in a unique musical experience every single time.
Despite their international stage experience, their connection to Aargau – where all three have their musical roots – remains palpable and important.
The line-up features Mathieu Friz (keys), Nicholas Struchen (drums) and Marius Meier (bass)
