Jon Cleary
The New Orleans sound, blending funk, R&B and second-line grooves
New Orleans comes to Zurich: Jon Cleary blends funk, R&B, soul and second-line rhythms into a rousing, groove-filled sound. The Grammy winner grew up musically in the clubs of New Orleans and has played with greats such as Dr John, Bonnie Raitt and Taj Mahal. At the Kaufleuten, he’ll take to the stage with his six-piece band and, alongside tracks from *The Bywater Sessions*, showcase the full rhythmic diversity of his musical home. A concert blending virtuoso piano, powerful brass and the unmistakable spirit of New Orleans.
