Judith Bach, *Streusel Cake – A Slice for Everyone*
Music, theatre and cabaret with Claire
A refreshing chanson cabaret drawn from real life, about starting afresh and everything that can become home.
In her third solo show, Claire belts out her favourite songs, enjoys a spot of playful piano-pounding now and then, and surprises her audience with some big news: the Berliner is becoming a Swiss citizen!
Whilst moving house, she stumbles across a diary belonging to her dearly beloved Grandma Fritz. The entries paint a surprisingly vivid picture of everyday life in a care home and serve as a loving reminder that it’s never too late for a bit of mischief.
An evening full of verbal wit and quiet melancholy – cheeky, charming and free of pretension.
Concept and performance: Judith Bach
Directed by: Cornelia Montani / Paul Steinmann
Musical direction: Markus Schönholzer
Piano arrangement: Thomas Silvestri
