Julia Weber and ‘Weil ich Ruth bin’, with musical accompaniment by Follia

Ruth is a very special person. She is born with a coat of fur, which she loses at the end of her childhood. And Ruth has ‘the power’. She can conjure up thunderstorms and turn people into animals.

Julia Weber is accompanied musically by Follia (Lia Maria Neff). Presented by Salomé Meier.

People flock to Ruth, wanting to be a jellyfish for a while, a lobster, a dog, a bird or a lizard – and in doing so, to forget their bills, their meetings at the office, their household chores, the whole of modern life. ‘Because I am Ruth’ is a novel full of magic, written in a uniquely sensual language.

Lia Maria Neff is an author and performs as a double bass player under the name Follia; she accompanies Julia Weber at the Rehböckli in a literary and musical exchange.
