Laboratory

From the laboratory to the stage: ‘Laboratorium’ continues the long-standing collaboration between the Collegium Novum Zürich and the ZHdK, and embodies a shared commitment to the music of our time and its young talents. At the heart of the concert are four new ensemble works by composition students, developed through a multi-stage process. Fragments, sketches and experimental sound ideas were tested, discussed and further developed together with the ensemble in workshops. Direct feedback from the musicians was incorporated into the final form of the works. The pieces can now be heard on stage for the first time, conducted by Zoi Tsokanou.
