In her poems, poetry slammer Annika Biedermann (born 1999) blends the everyday with profundity, thereby giving her intense thoughts a lyrical form. There’s something for everyone, from a chuckle to goosebumps. She also displays an adventurous use of rhyme schemes.

As a long-standing active member of the national and international poetry slam scene, Annika Biedermann became Swiss Poetry Slam Champion in 2025. She finds the words to express life’s serious moments – always with a pinch of wit and sometimes even a touch of humour. She insists that her texts are not meant to be read, but to be heard. As well as performing in all manner of formats throughout the German-speaking world, she also hosts slam events.

‘lauschig’ lends special significance to the experience of literature in unique venues. Exclusive gardens and beautiful parks in the garden city of Winterthur, as well as the cosiest courtyards in the old town, serve as the backdrop for this literary series. ‘lauschig’ does not feature traditional readings, but rather diverse, exciting and entertaining evenings. These put the authors and their personalities centre stage. “lauschig” takes place as part of the Winterthur Music Festival and particularly promotes younger authors and spoken-word artists, with a focus on literature from Switzerland.
