British funk-pop featuring Mark King’s unmistakable slap bass
Level 42 had a decisive influence on the sound of the 1980s with their blend of funk, soul, pop and jazz. To this day, Mark King remains at the heart of the band; his virtuoso slap bass playing has become the British band’s unmistakable trademark. Songs such as ‘Lessons in Love’ and ‘Running in the Family’ brought Level 42 international fame. Two years after their last performance at the Kaufleuten, the band is now returning to Zurich – with well-known songs, distinctive grooves and a seven-piece line-up.
