More women contributors to Wikipedia! Workshop

To make it easier to get started in the Wikipedia universe and to support individuals in continuing to contribute, Sabine Hagmann, Andrea Helbling, Chris Regn and Nicole Boillat organise monthly writing workshops with the support of Wikimedia CH. During these evenings, new articles are created, translated and existing entries expanded. The aim is to increase the presence of women on Wikipedia – both as editors and as subjects of the articles. As part of the ‘Zürich liest’ initiative, the focus is on giving women writers more space on Wikipedia.

Participants in the writing workshop are supported by an experienced Wikipedia user. Beginners are just as welcome as experienced writers.

Create a user account in advance, and bring a laptop and a suggested article topic with you. Which of this year’s authors at ‘Zürich liest’ still doesn’t have a Wikipedia entry?
