Lunchtime music: Fiona Fiasco

Mist hangs between the mountains. Somewhere, an old radio plays. And Fiona Fiasco weaves her own stories from it. The Graubünden-based musician blends her roots with dreamy indie-folk and cinematic art-pop. Nostalgic, playful and sometimes a little ghostly. With her debut EP ‘Blue Rider, Blue Faced’, she creates soundscapes full of melancholy, vastness and subtle surprises. Music as if the old town were suddenly transformed into a mountain village at dawn.

A musical lunchtime break at the museum: sit or lie down, dream, immerse yourself and relax. Local and national musicians whisk you away into their very own personal soundscapes – simple, acoustic and crafted with love.

‘Musik über Mittag’ is a labour of love collaboration between the Winterthur Music Festival and the Gewerbemuseum Winterthur. Once again this year, all three museum concerts are designed as ‘Relaxed Performances’. Our aim is to create an inclusive environment where as few sensory stimuli (triggers) as possible are present. The following measures are in place for these events: the doors are left open and there are no strobe lights or other special effects. There is also no very loud or sudden music, and the audience is free to move around the room, sit or lie down.
