Röslischüür Music Club: Caludo
Handcrafted folk music with a dash of bluegrass drive
caludo is a folk trio from Zurich: three voices, fiddle, guitar and double bass. They play original folk music with a dash of ‘bluegrass drive’. Occasionally, you’ll also hear jigs and reels, as well as songs in German or French. Catie Jo is a bluegrass fiddle player, originally from Minneapolis in the USA. Vincent on double bass comes from a pop/rock background, but also plays Greek and Irish music on his instrument. Stefan has also been active in the bluegrass and folk rock scene for a long time. Now the three songwriters are unpacking their suitcase: a colourful medley of self-penned songs about astronauts, house moves, sweets, deserted streets, petty bank robberies and the vastness of the sea.
