A chamber symphony with a triple double line-up: 2x air, 2x piano, 2x percussion
In Zumthor's 60-minute composition "Bücher & Alkohol", six exceptional musicians with very different backgrounds come together. They seem to attract each other like magnets and together form an organism, a personality. Driving beat rotations mix with wild melancholy, subtle humour and black gong ballads. This primal state of frenetic energy currents is mixed with bitter lamentation and - Franz Schubert.
