How can we produce and consume more sustainably in the future? What can and must design achieve – not least in order to fulfil its responsibilities?
‘Next Relations – Shaping the Future’ presents projects by students on the Industrial Design course at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. They showcase concepts for bold visions of the future and new creative approaches.
The exhibition invites visitors to experience design as an open practice within a network of complex relationships – with the aim of devising conceptual models for a shared future. After all, the challenges of our time are too complex to be solved in isolation. That is why new forms of collaboration and more comprehensive, interdisciplinary concepts are needed to find answers to these questions.
