Nils Holgersson's Wonderful Journey
Swiss premiere
A prank turns Nils’s world upside down – and suddenly a journey between heaven and earth begins.
Suddenly, the wind speaks louder than his own thoughts. The animals have voices. And the solid ground beneath his feet gives way to the open sky. Riding on the back of Martin the gander, Nils takes flight – into a world that is bigger than his courage.
Led by the wise Akka of Kebnekajse, the flock of wild geese flies across vast landscapes. But dangers lurk: the cunning fox Smirre tracks their every move. Between storm and stillness, trust and threat, something grows within Nils that he had not known before – responsibility. And the quiet realisation that one can only understand the world if one is prepared to see it differently.
anda Kids presents this Swiss premiere as a musical and poetic family theatre production in dialect.
Director Stefan Camenzind tells Selma Lagerlöf’s world-famous story in a modern, visually striking production. The specially composed music and songs by Marius Bear carry the journey through vastness and warmth, lending it emotional depth.
A cross-generational theatre experience for children aged 6 and over and their families.
