Open studios: Touch Through dance project

Open studios will take place at Tanzhaus Zürich in March and April 2025 as part of the creation process for the dance piece Touch Through by Lea Moro. The OPEN STUDIOS are aimed at all people aged 10 and over, teenagers, people in their twenties, thirties, forties, fifties, sixties, seventies, eighties and nineties.

The dance project Touch Through explores intergenerational encounters through dance, movement and voice. Because touch is more than just physical contact - it is a form of communication with an emotional and social impact. It connects us with ourselves, others and the world, can provide comfort, build trust and create closeness, even without direct physical contact. Something has touched me, moved something in me and triggered something in me.

In the OPEN STUDIOS, we explore how touch is experienced in everyday life, in relationships and in the digital world. It is not primarily about physical touch, but about various forms of interaction, movement, dance, song and voice work that enable connections to be made with one another.

Touch Through premieres in mid-August at the Zürcher Theater Spektakel festival. In addition to sharing the artistic process, the aim of the OPEN STUDIOS is to involve a cross-generational group of performers in the creation process and the performances. The OPEN STUDIOS are intended to offer opportunities to get to know each other.
