OHNE ROLF is the Lucerne-based duo Jonas Anderhub and Christof Wolfisberg, who perform entirely without spoken words. They captivate audiences with their downright legendary ‘Print-Pong’ duels and pages upon pages of surprising, comical moments – a must-see for comedy lovers, theatre fans and those who aren’t keen on reading. Because OHNE ROLF stands for a zany, incisive exchange of words on a global scale. At first glance, the pre-printed posters seem to allow for zero spontaneity. This makes it all the more surprising that the duo manage, time and again, to push the boundaries of their paper format in the most whimsical way.

In their latest, sixth show, the pair find themselves once again literally under pressure from their audience’s expectations: should the 20th anniversary be celebrated at all? And if so, how? The absurd, entertaining verbal sparring reveals, for the first time, entirely new, private sides to the Blattländer and, as usual, invites the audience to share in the collective pleasure of reading, somewhere between sophisticated silliness and meaning. The audience thus becomes a co-creator of the evening, which, thanks to its unique blend of comedy, theatre and live comic, becomes an unforgettable experience.
