PETER BENCE SYMPHONIC – A Firework Display of Keys
A piano concert like never before – from film scores and pop-rock hits to songs by Queen
SINFONIETTA DE LAUSANNE
Peter Bence · Piano
Allow me to introduce: Bence. Peter Bence. Whilst others take up arms in Her Majesty’s service, this exceptional Hungarian maestro pulls out all the musical stops. For Bence, artistic seriousness and showmanship, classical and pop, are not opposites, but two sides of the same coin.
In ‘Peter Bence Symphonic’, he presents a four-part piano concert together with the Sinfonietta de Lausanne: masterpieces of film music, including works by John Williams and Hans Zimmer; legendary pop-rock hits, amongst them reimagined songs by Queen and Michael Jackson; and his own compositions, culminating in one of his spectacular solo performances.
As in his previous programmes, the precisely timed lighting design plays a key role, making Bence’s performances not only a multi-stylistic but also a multimedia experience.
Concert with an interval. Duration approx. 2 hours.
