PETER BICHSEL – Rethinking Religion and Democracy
Exhibition to mark Peter Bichsel’s 90th birthday.
Peter Bichsel (1935–2025) was a popular author in the very best sense of the word. People of all generations and walks of life can relate to his writing. His works address the major issues that concern the country and its people: existential, social, political and, not least, religious questions. Peter Bichsel knew how to channel his literary individuality into a form that was superficially light-hearted, yet subtly complex and thoughtful.
To mark Peter Bichsel’s 90th birthday, the Büro Bichsel association established a mobile museum last year dedicated to the author’s life, work and agenda. The Paulus Academy is exhibiting the two modules: ‘Peter Bichsel on God and the World’ and ‘Thinking Democracy Further with Peter Bichsel’.
Free admission Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm – up to and including Friday 23 October 2026.
