PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA LONDON mit Esa-Pekka Salonen
Music by Sibelius, Lindberg and Beethoven
PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA LONDON
Esa-Pekka Salonen · Conductor
Johan Dalene · Violin
Valmistettu suomessa – made in Finland! That would also be a fitting headline for this concert: a showcase of Finnish craftsmanship, ranging from Sibelius’s final symphony to Magnus Lindberg’s Violin Concerto No. 1, conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen. Only rising star Johan Dalene has been ‘on loan’ from Finland’s Scandinavian neighbours – an exceptional talent who, in his mid-20s, has already captivated half of Europe.
Programme
Jean Sibelius: Symphony No. 7 in C major, Op. 105 (approx. 22’)
Magnus Lindberg: Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No. 1 (approx. 23’)
Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No. 3 in E flat major, Op. 55 ‘Eroica’ (approx. 50’)
Concert with an interval. Programme subject to change.
