Physical Comedy Workshop
The comedic body - Mit Luisa Schmitz
How can you tell a joke without language - just with your body and movement? In this workshop, dance, acrobatics and improvisation merge into physical comedy and you will get to know the comedic body.
The workshop is divided into two different parts. The first half is about the quality of movement: a fusion of contemporary dance and acrobatics. Through various sets of rolls across the floor, we will train the flow, compactness and explosiveness of the movements.
The second part of the course is dedicated to improvisation: We will work with contradictory developments within the movements. By opening our senses to impulses and learning which impulses we choose when and for how long, or when and how we drop them, this will open up a creative playing field for us. With this tool, we can integrate everything we have learnt into a creative context and move into physical comedy.

Das Zirkusquartier ist ausserhalb der Schulferien täglich ab 15 Uhr für die Kurse geöffnet. An Vorstellungstagen öffnet die Tür 60 Minuten vor Beginn und die Bar ist geöffnet.
