Punch Brothers
Bluegrass, folk and classical music with mandolin virtuoso Chris Thile
Five musicians, acoustic instruments and music that playfully transcends genre boundaries: Punch Brothers return to the Neumünster in Zurich for their only Swiss concert. Led by mandolin virtuoso Chris Thile, the ensemble blends bluegrass and folk with influences from classical music. Fast-paced passages alternate with delicate, chamber-music-like moments, whilst precise ensemble playing meets spontaneous joy in performance. In the church’s unique acoustics, this multi-layered string sound unfolds to its full effect.
