Rebecca Weingartner - Solidarity!

Together! Three people are on stage: the dancer Rebecca Weingartner, the dancer Raul Martinez and the musician Nello Novela. Their biographies are as different as their migration stories - and they have all experienced the feeling of not belonging.

In her last dance piece for young audiences, EQUALITY!, choreographer Rebecca Weingartner tried to overcome barriers. It was about injustices between the sexes. Now SOLIDARITY! is about diversity: how can people come together despite their differences? How can spaces be created in which boundaries no longer play a role? How can a community be formed that sees diversity not as a threat, but as an enrichment?

In SOLIDARITY!, the three artists show what this could look like - and how much fun it can be. They encourage each other to break out of their comfort zones: The musician dares to dance, the dancers make music and sing. However, they not only need courage to do this, but also support - from each other and from their audience. The result is a wonderful temporary community on stage, an enthusiastic celebration of solidarity in which everyone can feel welcome - no matter how different they are.
