‘Rare Ducks’ by Jens Nielsen
A tenant experiences drastic changes in the weather and vegetation inside her flat. Her carer, to whom she tells everything, does not believe her at first, but gradually becomes drawn into her world. There is thunder and lightning in the flat. Is the Great Flood coming? And what does the hedgehog in the washbasin have to do with it? Does the world outside the flat even exist? What is real?
Jens Nielsen combines literary virtuosity and imagination with the latest findings in climate research. With a dash of absurd humour, fast-paced dialogue and a splash of water, *Seltene Enten* becomes a brilliant climate-themed grotesque.
