Like a petri dish
‘Bevor des Tages Licht vergeht’ marks the opening of ‘Sing-Petrina’ – one of the new event formats at St Peter’s City Church in Zurich – with a focus on autumn. The St Peter’s Choir will perform Eichendorff’s ‘O Herbst’ and lead the audience in a polyphonic sing-along. Between abundance and transience, farewell and hope, music, texts and a literary-theological reflection invite us to rediscover the ambivalence of this season. Trusting that ‘it is budding beneath the leaves’, we celebrate the quiet confidence hidden within autumn.
The new cantor at St Peter’s, Deborah Züger, will be leading ‘Petrina at five’ for the first time on this day, together with Reverend Cornelia Camichel.
