syng:TRAINING Introductory Course with Kenneth Posey

What has so far been accessible mainly within an institutional setting – for example at the Zurich University of the Arts or as a continuing professional development programme for cantonal teachers in St Gallen – is now being offered to the public for the first time in Zurich.

Under the guidance of syng:TRAINING founder Prof. Kenneth Posey , a four-hour, practical introduction will present the core principles and methods of this unique and highly effective training concept.

The focus is not on achieving a single ‘ideal’ sound or the balance found in classical singing, but rather on the diverse differences in vocal techniques used in popular singing – such as belt and mix – and how these should be properly developed and trained.

The introductory course is aimed at singing teachers, coaches and singers in the field of popular singing who are interested in systematic and effective approaches to developing and training voices. Particular focus is placed on the specific vocal techniques used in non-classical singing.

The introductory course can be attended either actively or passively. There are five places available for active participation; this includes an additional 20 minutes of individual one-to-one work with Prof. Kenneth Posey in front of the group. Passive participation is unlimited and covers the entire course, including observation of the one-to-one sessions.
