Preview: "Orwell: 2+2=5"
in the presence of the director Raoul Peck
Shortly before his death, George Orwell completed the work that was to become his most significant novel: 1984. ORWELL: 2+2=5 delves into the heart of this visionary work and explores Orwell’s dystopian concepts: doublethink, Newspeak, thoughtcrime and Big Brother – socio-political truths that resonate more strongly today than ever before. Filmmaker Raoul Peck analyses them with his characteristic precision – a director who has never ceased to critically examine inequality, racism and the legacy of colonialism.
