How do you build suspense? Or: The Hitchcock Principle
We’ll begin by analysing the Hitchcock Principle. Hitchcock was unrivalled in his ability to build suspense.
How exactly did he do this, and how can it be applied to literary storytelling? This is the focus of the workshop. The input and analysis will be followed by practical writing exercises, reading aloud (for those who wish to), peer discussion, as well as feedback and revision.
