World in Vibration – rather than freezing up in the face of all the tremors
An EXTENDED REALITY performance exploring the vibrations of the world, with the multi-art collective pulp.noir
“Do you also feel as though you’re slowly freezing up in the face of ALL THESE SHOCKS?”
This question opens the performance ‘World in Vibration’, in which visitors attend a MEETING OF THE ‘ANONYMOUS CRISIS-WEARY’. Equipped with virtual reality headsets, they discuss how they can break free from the modern obsession with escalation & acceleration mania; for a connection to the multiple crises seems obvious.
The sociological theory of resonance is the subject of particularly lively discussion. According to this theory, the all-pervasive logic of escalation is simultaneously the cause & consequence of a disturbed relationship with the world. That is why it calls for (RE)LEARNING RESONANCE – the ability to pause and form deep, vibrant connections: with people, nature and much more.
In small groups, visitors follow the reflections of various experts, and individually they immerse themselves in their own INTERACTIVE WORLD OF IMAGES AND SOUND. Here, they engage in dialogue with dancers and actors filmed in 3D and set out in search of a more resonant world.
