A guided tour of Zurich’s Old Town with Barbara Streiff and a reading by Gabriela Kasperski from *Weisch na*
To mark the ‘Zurich Reads’ festival, there will be a special ‘Old Town Stories’ event.
Barbara Streiff takes you on a tour of the old town without you having to leave the GeschichtenBäckerei. Impossible? Not at all. How exactly? That’s a surprise.
Afterwards, Gabriela Kasperski will read from *Weisch na* and, to round things off, there’ll be a glass of Prosecco.
In her book, she weaves together legends of the Old Town passed down over centuries, recalling the Niederdorf of yesteryear, long-gone dive bars, businesses and the people who lived there. It is neither a chronicle of Zurich nor a reference work, but a book about people, their neighbourhood and how they shape and write its history.
